Keno was first played in 200 BC by the Chinese military leader, Cheung Leung who used this game as a monetary resource for his failing forces. The metropolis of Cheung was waging a battle, and after a bit of time seemed to be facing national shortage of food with the excessive drop in supplies. Cheung Leung needed to come up with a quick response for the economic disaster and to create money for his forces. He thusly designed the game we now know as keno and it was a wonderful success.

Keno used to be known as the White Pigeon Game, due to the fact that the winning numbers were sent out by pigeons from bigger municipalities to the tinier towns. The lottery ‘Keno’ was imported to the United States in the 19th century by Chinese immigrants who came to the US for work. In those times, Keno used one hundred and twenty numbers.

Today, Keno is typically wagered on with just 80 numbers in most of American land based casinos as well as net casinos. Keno is commonly enjoyed today because of the laid back nature of gambling the game and the basic fact that there are no skills required to enjoy Keno. Regardless of the reality that the odds of succeeding are terrible, there is always the hope that you will hit quite big with a tiny gaming investment.

Keno is enjoyed with eighty numbers with twenty numbers picked each round. Players of Keno can select from two to 10 numbers and wager on them, whatever amount they are able to. The payout of Keno is according to the bets made and the matching of numbers.

Keno has grown in popularity in the United States since the end of the 1800’s when the Chinese letters were replaced with more familiar, American numbers. Lotteries weren’t covered under the legalization of wagering in the state of Nevada in Nineteen Thirty One. The casinos renamed the ‘Chinese lotto’ to ‘horse race keno’ employing the idea that the numbers are horses and you are looking for your horses to come in. When the Nevada government passed a law that taxed off track betting, casinos swiftly changed the name to ‘Keno’.
